Hi! I’m Derek.

My engineering mission is to help you overcome your technical challenges.

I’m originally from Maryland. I’ve worked in a range of environments in both defense and commercial industries, in large research labs and in a small, fast-paced startup and in-between.

I studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. My capstone design course there was concentrated in Multimedia Signal Processing. I then studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University with a specialization in wireless communications. After awhile I found that I enjoyed the fields of cloud, web, and AI as well.

Outside of engineering, I have a thing for good coffee, creamy bokehs, and music with strong pockets.
